Services and Fees
The Landscape Design PackageThis is what most homeowners need to get them from vague ideas to actual Construction Documents. Construction Documents, or Working Drawings, are the plans that they (and/or a contractor) use to install the new landscape. To learn about this process--and the homeowner's role in it--please see The Design Process. Project fees generally range from $2,000 to $3,500. At our first meeting (the free Bid Meeting), I assess your project and calculate the project fees, which I go over with you. I follow up this meeting with a detailed written bid.
Hourly ConsultationFor the homeowner who has a tiny area that needs work, or just needs some bright ideas or a second opinion. I will come to your home, discuss your situation and options, and write up your Consultation Report. The Report is customized to each situation, but usually includes a list of options and/or decisions made, sketches, a suggested plant list, and other pertinent information. All of this is usually done within three hours. Hourly Consultation: $285 for three hours or fewer, hourly rate thereafter. Three-hour minimum. Site measuring is extra. Car usage fee may apply.

Car Usage FeeThis is calculated by multiplying (the distance between my office and your home) x (2) x (the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate) = Car Usage Fee for example
Refundable Distance FeeFor folks who live outside of the immediate area, a refundable Distance Fee is assessed for the Bid Meeting. The Fee is based on the travel time from downtown Corvallis to your home. Should you decide to work with Beth Young Garden Design, this fee will be deducted from your final invoice.
