O.S.U. Horticulture Department's Plant Identification WebsiteOnce you have your plant list, you can see accurate photos of your plant in different seasons by looking up the botanical name. Botanical protocol is that plants are listed by latin names as follows: Genus (italic and capitalized) species (italic and lower case) 'Cultivar' (not italic, capitalized with single quotation marks). Example Rosa corvallisii 'Sara Elizabeth' Good Plant SourcesHaving difficulties finding that specified plant at the local nursery? Here are some sources that might be of help. As a member of the Oregon Association of Nurserymen, I have the annual catalogue of all the plants being grown commercially in Oregon so give me a call if you can't find a certain plant. Of course, you can always call me for substitutions that will have the same visual, seasonal or functional features as the plants specified on your plan. This service is free of charge.
